A filter medium made of meta-aramide and polyimide fibres is successfully being used at a plaster calcination furnace. The warranty term of 24 months was fulfilled successfully and the filter bags are still working to the satisfaction of the operator.

Because of the strict requirement for a very low dust emission level we have selected a weight of 600 g/m² and the admixture of fine fibres of P84® Polyimide. In addition, a PTFE scrim and a chemical treatment are increasing the chemical resistance of the filter needlefelt.
